Emotional Freedom Technique


Emotional Freedom Technique or “tapping” as it is also known, is a process of “emotional acupuncture” without the needles. It aims to clear emotional blocks and imbalances through simple tapping on acupressure points, whilst focusing on emotional or physical issues.

Emotional Freedom Technique is a simple way of discarding limiting emotional and behavioural patterns and can be used on many levels; from cravings and addictions, such as smoking and weight issues, to fears and phobias, anger issues, anxiety and chronic pain and even post-traumatic stress disorder.

By addressing emotional problems that bother you the most, through EFT we can often change the energy surrounding a situation; releasing some of the negativity and upset and replacing it with a feeling of calm and contentment.​
I often use this as a tool, whilst doing hands on therapy and will tap on the client myself during a hands-on energy session. Occasionally, I teach this technique during the session, so that the client can take ownership of this tool to help themselves.
